Aarin Richard


Instructor of Audio Recording, Production Listening and Sound Design

Aarin Richard is a composer, sound designer, producer, musician and recording engineer involved in film, television, records, theme parks, games and modern dance. While in Los Angeles, he was part of the Media Design group at Walt Disney Imagineering where he worked on many of the company’s global films and attractions. He pioneered three dimensional sound design, led the music department producing large orchestral scores and composed music for the world’s first on-board roller coaster soundtrack. After leaving Disney, Aarin led the audio production team for Sony Development’s international projects in Berlin, Tokyo and San Francisco, including collaboration with Apple Records and Abbey Road Studios on the recreation of the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine. He also created three dimensional sound design for an experimental project produced by Steven Spielberg and GameWorks.
