The Modas Dance Company is closely connected with Santa Fe University of Art and Design, and is dedicated to providing young dancers with vital skills and resources to be a viable working artist in today’s dance market. This professional dance troupe spends time with all SFUAD dance students, creating professional learning opportunities. Not only do they provide instruction for classic dance methods like ballet, jazz, and tap, they’re also responsible for the modernization of the dance program at SFUAD – including opportunities for Hip-Hop Dance, Modern Dance, Improvisation, and more.
Musical Theatre students will have the opportunity to work with Modas in intimate class setting – because we understand that close mentorship is the best way for performers to learn. Modas is a national traveling company. You will have an opportunity to join during the summers for academic credit – to get a real taste to get training in the professional dance world.
