Camera In Hand

We are putting a Canon T5i in every in coming photography students hands on day one and the best part, you get to keep it, forever.

A Camera In Every Hand

We’re going to put a Canon Rebel T5i in your hands on the first day of school.

At Santa Fe University of Art and Design, we believe in giving our students the exact tools they need to hit the ground running – which means a professional-grade DSLR camera for our Photography students.

Whether it’s a fashion shoot under the stars or an unexpected bolt of inspiration at 3 am, we don’t want to hold you back on your path to creation. With our Camera in Every Hand program, you’ll be given a camera on your very first day at SFUAD – and it’s yours to keep.* For good. You can even bring it with you to graduation.

While we’ll always have a variety of cameras available for check-out in our rental facility, as well as all the lighting, lens, and technical accessories you can think of, your creative streak won’t have to rely on our business hours! With a camera of your own, you’ll have access to the artistic world 24/7.

Here’s what your kit will include:

  • EOS Canon Rebel T5i body
  • Appropriate matching lens kit
  • Battery and charger
  • Other important goodies to protect and extend the life of your DSLR

*Students who receive the camera kit described above must be enrolled full-time for a minimum of four (4) consecutive semesters (not including Summer Session) or fees in the amount of the retail value of the camera and accessories (approximately $1,000.) will be assessed to your account. A student who leaves the university under a documented Leave of Absence (LOA) prior to completing the consecutive semester enrollment criteria will be required to return the camera to the department prior to beginning the LOA; upon the student’s return to the university within 1 year, SFUAD will issue a replacement camera and the consecutive semester enrollment will resume with credit given for semesters completed prior to the LOA.
