Chelsea Weathers holds PhD in art history from The University of Texas at Austin, where her dissertation focused on Andy Warhol’s cinema of the 1960s. Her areas of specialization include American and European Art, 1890–1945; American Art 1945–present; American Avant-Garde Film and Criticism; and Queer History and Theory. She has taught introductory and upper-level art history courses at Texas State University, San Marcos, TX, and has also taught art history courses at UT-Austin. Her academic writing and art criticism has been published in ArtLies, Artforum, Criticism, Hyperallergic, THE Magazine, and elsewhere. Chelsea also has five years of experience working as a researcher and educator at The Harry Ransom Center, a humanities archive and museum located in Austin, TX. She is also the co-director and editor of Pastelegram, a non-profit arts publisher committed to representing contemporary art and art writing.
