Thomas Lehn is an artist, interior/furniture designer and maker whose roots are in multidisciplinary solutions. His undergraduate degree in painting, graduate degree in design and well-honed fabrication skills inform the success of his versatile design practice and teaching philosophy. He encourages aspiring designers to develop a balanced perspective by bridging professional training with artistic agility. Prior to founding Thomas Lehn Designs in Santa Fe, NM, he was Principal and Director for nationally recognized architectural firms in the United States. His interest is in joining programmatic requirements with spirited space/object making. His work has received accolades and national awards. Lehn served four years as Assistant Professor of the Interior Architecture Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where he taught all levels of interior architecture. He served as design faculty at Kansas City Art Institute and the University of Kansas and has been guest faculty at many international universities. Currently he teaches at Santa Fe University of Art and Design.
Lehn received his BFA from San Francisco State University, and his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art
