BFA Film, Accelerated

The Accelerated BFA in Film will get you ready to enter the industry in three years

We know where you see yourself – on location, camera in hand, literally calling the shots. We know how badly you want to get into the film industry and get working, so Santa Fe University of Art and Design has created one of the only regionally accredited Accelerated BFA Film programs in the country. This 3 year pathway comes complete with camera to call your own, professional internship opportunities, all the gear you need to experiment and develop your style, and gets you out into the industry a year ahead of your peers.
The Accelerated BFA in Film’s curriculum was designed by our academic team in who are themselves leaders within the industries that hire our alumni. We maintain professional connections with the likes of Robert Redford and Sundance to help you build your professional network. Not only that, but we’ll even help you get your work into festivals — so the program is incredibly relevant to getting you into the business of contemporary filmmaking. For good measure, we’ve even made sure that you have opportunity to take advantage of our minor in Entrepreneurship or you could choose to add in a second creative emphasis. Best of all, you will still be eligible for all of SFUAD’s scholarship offerings as well as federal aid to help make your dream career a reality.

The Accelerated BFA in Film is a year-round program that does include summer semesters. Accelerated BFA students will be expected to maintain a course load of 16 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters and 8 credit hours over the summer.
