Carolyn Handler Miller is internationally recognized as one of the pioneering writers in the field of interactive digital media. She entered the then-new field in the early 1990s after a successful career in writing for TV and feature films. Her work in TV included episodic work for family and children’s shows as well as Afterschool Specials, one of which earned her an Emmy nomination.

Carolyn’s work in digital media includes writing various games, including the highly successful Toy Story Animated Story Book for Disney and Pixar and the Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? series of games, plus various interactive works for the Web. In addition, she has authored three editions of the groundbreaking book on the field, Digital Storytelling: A Creator’s Guide to Interactive Entertainment. She is currently working as a writer for the new Meow Wolf installation, House of Eternal Return, and has taught previously at UNM, UCLA and Santa Fe Community College.
