Santa Fe University of Art and Design (SFUAD) is pleased to announce that it will host the City Different Festival, a two-day music, art and film festival produced by Tonedeaf Collective. The festival is open to the community and will be held on Friday, Sept. 23 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 2 p.m. to 12 midnight. Visitors can expect a mix of more than 15 live musical performances from local bands, various sculptures and video art installations, a film festival in partnership with NM Film—and a number of other outdoor activities on the university’s quad.
Located at the heart of the City, the goal of the festival is to bring all characters and creations of our community together. The City Different Festival is not only a celebration that reflects a diverse community of artists, but also a chance to experience the freedom of creativity that breathes in Santa Fe.
The festival will also have art installations, projections, boxing, face painting, jousting, a catered cookout sanctioned by Bon Appetit and food trucks. The vendor square will feature Matron Records, Warehouse 21, Santa Fe Community College and the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), to inspire attendees’ hidden talents.
