SFUAD’s University Chorus, under the direction of Steven Paxton, will perform 16th Century madrigals and African American spirituals. The second half of the concert will feature the university’s new music ensemble, Collegium XXI, performing music by Terry Riley, J.C. Johnson, and Fernando Obradors. The concert is part of the “Concerts at San Miguel” series sponsored by St. Michael’s High School and the San Miguel Mission, a Spanish colonial mission church built between 1610 and 1626. Please join us for an evening of beautiful music in the oldest church in the United States.
