Cut-Outs seeks to explore our place in the the natural landscape; how we fit into it, how profoundly it is impacted by our presence even in our subtlest modesty, and how we honor it. Photographer and SFUAD alumnus Andreas Maestas invites the public to view these images as landscapes and as portraits, separately and simultaneously.
Each image is a five-minute exposure, digitally printed on archival canvas paper, without use of manipulation. The presence of the figures is accomplished through the use of life-sized cutouts.
This exhibition is held at the SFUAD Fogelson Library Gallery.
