Santa Fe University of Art and Design is pleased to announce that it has received official notification of its continued accreditation by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC). This news comes after SFUAD submitted a comprehensive self-study report earlier this year and welcomed an HLC peer evaluation team on campus February 9-11. After a thorough review, HLC determined that SFUAD is meeting its accreditation criteria, including rigorous institutional and academic quality standards.
“This reaffirmation of accreditation is verification that Santa Fe University of Art and Design continues to uphold its ongoing commitment to quality education and student success,” said Larry Hinz, president of SFUAD. “This is a culmination of the university’s three-year self-review and evaluation process that began in 2012 and involved many faculty, staff and students around campus.”
The university’s mission is to prepare talented students around the world for successful careers as creative professionals in the fields of art, design, entrepreneurship, and innovation. It currently enrolls approximately 1,000 students on its 60-acre campus.
SFUAD’s next reaffirmation of accreditation will be in 10 years, with an interim review in 4 years.
