Library Services

Circulation:

Most Fogelson Library material circulates and can be borrowed by students, faculty, and staff. Borrowing privileges may be obtained at the circulation desk. Students, faculty, and staff may also reserve study rooms, the South West Room, and the Miniver Viewing Room. Projectors are also available to check out for the Santa Fe University community. In addition to our Santa Fe University borrowing privileges, there are also Institutional and Community borrowing policies that allow members of the Art Institute, other academic and arts organizations, alumni, and Santa Fe residents to borrow circulating Fogelson Library materials. These borrowing policies are limited to books and audio visual material.

Course Reserves:

Faculty members often place course related material on reserve for their classes. Reserve materials are located at the circulation desk and may be checked out by students and faculty for a limited time, generally about two hours. Faculty also place digitized course material on E-Reserve which is accessible through the library website.

Reference and Library Instruction:

Librarians at Fogelson Library teach introductory and advanced classes on the critical use and evaluation of academic research resources. Reference and research assistance is also available at the Fogelson Library. Please come in to speak with one of our librarians if you need academic support.

Digital Resources:

Fogelson Library has a robust collection of article and image databases to support your scholarly work and creative inquiry. We also have access to Mango Languages and the Oxford English Dictionary.

Interlibrary Loan:

Fogeslon Library offers Interlibrary Loan service for the campus community. In addition, the Library participates in the statewide Passport system that allows University students, faculty and staff to obtain borrowing privileges at other New Mexico and colleges and universities.
