Jacob Lecuyer is a full-time faculty member in the Digital Arts program of the School of Visual and Communication Arts at Santa Fe University of Art and Design. Lecuyer has 10 years of professional and teaching experience, empowering students who want to pursue a career in animation, illustration and concept art. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Art and Design from California State University Fullerton (CSUF), where he received a CSUF Graduate Fellowship and Leo Freedman Award for artistic achievement. He has had several exhibitions internationally and has lived and worked professionally in places such as Australia, Germany, Israel, Japan, Mexico and Poland. While teaching Visual Storytelling at the college level for more than a decade, Lecuyer’s work has appeared in several publications including the respected industry trade, Spectrum: the Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art, Other Grimm Brothers Faerie Stories, and Steampunk: The Beginning.
