Charlotte Thurman is a Contributing Faculty member, teaching Foundations at Santa Fe University of Art and Design. Her practice combines media-based archives with immersive installation. Using ephemeral and time-based processes, the work wades through fragmentary personal histories to transcribe what is familiar and what is forgotten along the arrow of time.
The artist has shown work both nationally and internationally. Some past exhibits include: the 20/92 Video Festival in the Icebox Project Space, Crane Arts Building in Philadelphia, PA, the Delaware Contemporary Museum, and at Takt: kunstraum tapir in Berlin, Germany. Charlotte is currently preparing for a solo exhibition at Leisure Gallery in Denver, CO. She is a Manager of Operations at the Meow Wolf Interactive Art Complex, and the co-author a feminist arts publication titled “Life Raft.”
Charlotte was raised in western North Carolina. She received her BFA from the College of Santa Fe, and her MFA from the University of Delaware.
