Business Students Participate in SFUAD’s Creative Professional Series

Date published

Several SFUAD BBA students recently met with Rob Kret, Director of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, as well as Debra Garcia y Griego, Executive Director of the City of Santa Fe Arts Commission, as part of the Business Department’s Creative Professional Series.

The program, first launched in spring 2015, is a series of conversations with owners, managers, and entrepreneurs who are leading world-class institutions related to the creative arts here in New Mexico. The Speaker Series gives Business students the chance to become immersed in the local Santa Fe art scene and network with local business professionals in a small and intimate setting. It’s structured as an opportunity to hear the speakers’ stories, from their education, to their first job, and to the major milestones in their careers to date. The event is followed by a lunch or dinner with the respective speaker.

Previous participants have included Cyndi Conn, Executive Director at Creative Santa Fe; Jackie M, an independent art consultant who worked as the Director of Education and Public Programs at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum for nearly two decades; and Bob Martin, Executive/ Artistic Director of The Lensic Performing Arts Center.
